From Wood to Art:
I follow the wood… take it where it wants to go.

The wood I use is 100% Western North Carolina. The vast majority of it comes from an old backwoods sawmill a friend took me to.  It’s run by a couple of good old boys one who’s about a hundred and forty seven years old and missing a few fingers.  Along with his sidekick Rocky, they specialize in wood with lots of color. When the loggers or tree trimmers go out and cut down a tree that they see is special, instead of sending it to the chipper or pulp mill, they take it and sell it to these guys on the side.  I carefully forged a relationship with them and now they call me when they get something really good!
